Move over Lucid Air Dream Range Edition; Edmunds has a new range king, and it’s in the form of a pickup truck. The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Max Range Denali returned 507 miles on a single charge in Edmunds EV Range Test and now sits on top of the leaderboard, besting the Lucid Air Dream Range Edition by a mere mile. The publication’s range test aims for a mix of 60 percent city driving and 40 percent highway driving, with an average speed of 40 mph. Variability in weather can affect the results of these tests, but for the Sierra EV, it was done on a sunny but cool 58-degree day.
By achieving 507 miles on a full charge, the Sierra EV actually delivered 47 more miles than the truck’s 460-mile EPA estimate. Although it’s now the range leader, it isn’t the most efficient pickup that Edmunds has ever tested. Consumption for the Sierra EV measured at 48.1 kWh/100 miles. To compare, the Lucid Air achieved this by measuring 28.3 kWh/100 miles. Clearly, the massive 205-kWh battery in the GMC Sierra EV Max Range Denali helps it achieve the range it does. Still, these figures are impressive, especially considering the pickup is capable of going from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, thanks to its 760 horsepower, 785 pound-feet of torque, and massive 24-inch wheels.
All of this, however, comes at a price. The 2025 GMC Sierra Max Range Denali, as tested by Edmunds, comes with a price tag of $102,085.
