There’s a new Tesla Model Y and it’ll cost $61,630

The 2025 Tesla Model Y is now officially available in the U.S. market, as it goes on sale with a $61,630 starting price tag. The updated Model Y is introduced with a limited-production Launch Series model, which aligns with Tesla’s strategy for other launches. The Launch Series is a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version equipped with a Long Range battery to return up to 320 miles of all-electric range. It also comes with the rebranded Full Self-Driving (Supervised) technology and Acceleration Boost.

Specifications of power output haven’t been revealed, but Tesla did confirm the new Model Y goes zero-to-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 125 mph. The range slightly decreases to 303 miles if buyers opt for the 20-inch wheels (at no additional cost) instead of the standard 19-inch rollers. As for the interior, options include an all-black or two-tone black-and-white cabin. The minimalist cabin boasts a 15.4-inch center touchscreen while the front seats are both heated and ventilated. Rear-seat passengers are entertained with an 8.0-inch display.

As usual, Tesla didn’t state just how many Launch Series units it’ll be producing. However, as many have reported in the past, this is standard for Tesla with a new launch model, to streamline production and get as many units off the assembly line and into customers as possible. Only then does Tesla open up the order books on other configurations that are typically much more affordable.
