The refreshed 2022 Lexus ES 300h has arrived featuring lots of meaningful upgrades. On the design front, you find subtle changes like revised headlights, new grille patterns, and new alloy wheel designs. Inside the standard 8.0-inch and optional 12.3-inch display have been forward by 4.3 inches and are now touch screens.
On the safety front, the 2022 ES 300h gets Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 suite of driver assists. It builds on the previous one with features like front automatic emergency braking that works at intersections by detecting incoming pedestrians and traffic, and an enhanced adaptive cruise control system that performs passing maneuvers smoother and anticipates curves on the road, and slows down ahead of them. Lane-keeping assist and lane centering is now able to recognize lane dividers better and prevent the vehicle from drifting all over the place.
Lexus has revised the ES’ chassis for 2022, featuring a new rear suspension member for improved torsional rigidity, ride comfort, and stability. The brakes have also been tweaked for an improved pedal feel. Certain markets will get an F Sport variant for the ES 300h, which receives mostly cosmetic tweaks like 19-inch alloy wheels, a mesh grille with black surrounds, and a trunk spoiler.
Iridium and Cloudburst Gray replace Silver Lining, Atomic Silver, and Nebula Gray in the 2022 ES’ exterior color palette. Lexus will announce more info including pricing and options closer to the car’s on-sale date this fall.
