When it comes to making fun little cars, Mini is ace. When it comes to electrifying the cars, it is pretty swell, too. It makes sense that for high performance models, the brand will also follow the EV route. That is why you are now looking at potentially future John Cooper Works Minis.
As we said, we’re a big fan of the Mini Cooper S E. It’s one of the few electrics, especially the afford ones, that is actually fun to drive when the road gets twisty. As the world continues barreling toward electric vehicles, Mini needs a high performance solution.
“With the Mini Electric, we’ve shown how well brand-typical driving enjoyment and electric mobility can be combined,” says Bernd Körber, Head of the Mini brand. “Now it’s time to translate the passion for performance of the John Cooper Works brand to electromobility. That’s why we’re working to develop concepts for electric John Cooper Works models.”
