To keep things interesting, Ford is offering a new Bronze Appearance Package on the Mustang Mach-E all-electric SUV. We got our first in-person look at this visually arresting options group here at the 2024 Chicago Auto Show.

Everyone’s favorite alloy of copper and tin has traditionally been used to make things like cannons, but it’s also great for accents on cars in the 21st century. The new Bronze Appearance package is available exclusively on the Mach-E GT, the high-performance version of Ford’s all-electric SUV. This options group includes a range of visual enhancements, things like a gold-bronze-colored mesh-like grille, fetching 20-inch wheels treated to a beautiful bronze finish and special badging. Both the “Mach-E 4X” placards on the front doors and the GT emblem at the back are outlined in bronze.

This new options group is available with three different paint colors. You can get the Bronze Appearance Package with Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, Shadow Black and, as shown at the Chicago Auto Show, Eruption Green. That last hue is probably the best, as it really pops, even under harsh, indoor lighting conditions.

Beyond all that, Ford is also adding new standard equipment to the Mach-E GT for the latest model year. MagneRide magnetic dampers will be included at no extra cost, ditto for 15.2-inch (385-mm) front brake rotors with red Brembo calipers. Ford Performance front seats with 10-way power adjustability for the driver are included as well.

The automaker also teased additional performance upgrades for the Mach-E GT, enhancements they claim will make the vehicle quicker than ever. Unfortunately, no specifics about these enhancements were shared.

The Mach-E GT with the new Bronze Appearance Package looks great and should be a welcome upgrade to what is a competitive EV that’s aging gracefully. You’ll be able to order one of these SUVs with this options group at some point this winter, so likely pretty soon. Expect the vehicle to start around $61,000.
