The 2022 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid adds a new special model called the Platinum Edition. It gets more standard features for $116,550 or $10,200 more than a standard Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. What does that get you? Quite a lot. The two things you won’t be able to get are the long-wheelbase Executive sedan or the Sport Turismo wagon because the Platinum Edition is limited only to the regular sedan.
Starting with the exterior, the 2022 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid gains 21-inch Exclusive Design Sport alloy wheels in Satin Platinum. You can also opt for smaller 20-inch units too. The air curtains, rear badging, and side vents are also finished in Satin Platinum. Contrasting all that brightwork are black side mirror covers and black exhaust tips. Every Platinum Edition model gets LED Matrix Design headlights and automatic high beams as standard equipment.
Inside, the Platinum Edition model gets door sills with “Platinum Edition” embedded in them and headrests embossed with the Porsche logo. Additional standard equipment includes black aluminum trim, a GT sport steering wheel, soft-close doors, 14-way power front seats with memory, heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, blind-spot monitoring, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and four-zone climate control. All Platinum Edition models get adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which allows you to change its firmness and ride height. Power Steering Plus is also standard and reduces steering efforts at low speeds. The latest version of Porsche’s PCM infotainment system, called PCM 6.0, is included in the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition and comes with a 12.3-inch touch screen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Despite all the extra touches, Porsche still allows you to extensively customize your Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition. You’ll be able to choose between 13 standard and metallic exterior colors at no cost and four special options. If that’s not enough you can also get a custom color to get the car exactly how you want it. Available options include a Burmester 3D High-End surround sound system, a rear-seat entertainment system, 18-way adaptive sport seats, a surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, ventilated rear seats, massaging front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and rear-wheel steering. There are also several single- and two-tone interior options to choose from including Club Leather upholstery. You can also get contrast stitching and piping plus deviated center inserts. At least on the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, you can also choose Acid Green brake calipers to hint at your vehicle’s electrified powertrain.
The 2022 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 coupled to an electric motor, a 17.9-kWh battery, and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It has a combined output of 455 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque going through all four wheels. According to the EPA, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid can travel up to 19 miles in all-electric mode. When driven as a hybrid, it can travel up to 480 miles or 21/24/22 mpg city/highway/combined. Porsche says the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid can hit 60 mph in 4.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono package, which includes launch control.
The 2022 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition arrives at dealers in the spring of 2022.
